Alessandra Birthday card project

With Alessandra's birthday fast approaching, I need to ask everyone to contribute to her birthday present from our site to our lovely Miss Ambrosio.

What I need is for everyone to e-mail me their forum name (just your name, nothing else) handwritten. Black ink - thicker ink from like a Sharpie is better - on white paper. you can make it a signature style too. Just scan it in and send to me.

I will gather all the signatures and paste them onto the front page of our site and then send a color, hard-copy to Alessandra's fan mail address to arrive before her birthday.

From her favorite site to her.

One minor amendment (if you have already sent your sig, you can modify if you choose).....

Feel free to put 3-4 words of "happy this" or "happy that" with your forum sig (sign your forum name only because that is how Alessandra would know of you). But I RESERVE THE RIGHT to only paste your forum name and cut the words. You can imagine how many words will end up on the card if everyone wrote ten or twelve words. I will see how it looks with words and without before I send.

That's what I did. Sorry about the multiple emails, but I realised that the backgrounds of my sigs weren't white. Damn white (or not) paper...

Doesn't matter. As long as there is a strong contrast between the sig and the paper, I can just use the Magic Eraser Tool in industry-leading Adobe Photoshop CS2.

The Magic Eraser
The Magic Eraser works just like the magic wand, but instead of making a selection, it immediately converts the pixels to transparent. It's also very similar to using the paint bucket in clear mode. The areas to be erased are controlled by adjusting the tolerance and contiguous options. Clicking once erases all the the pixels that fall within the tolerance range. If the magic eraser is used on a background layer, the background is automatically promoted to a layer.

This is not what it will look like. I will make it all Happy Birthday on the site and paste all of our signatures. But this will give you an idea.
